FUE - Follicular unit extraction

FUE

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a type of hair transplant done by taking individual hair follicles from the back of your scalp and moving them to another part on your area (scalp or eyebrow or beard) where hair is thinner or absent with minimal damage to the donor area and less bleeding.

It is quite similar but more advanced in comparison with FUT (Follicular unit transplantation).

FUT

FUT surgery is a method of extracting hair follicles from the back or side of your scalp and using it to cover bald spots.

In FUT surgery, a surgeon cuts a strip of skin from the back of your head and extracts individual hair follicles to insert in the balding parts of your scalp.  The surgery works best at covering a receding hairline caused by male pattern baldness (M-shaped hairline with hair loss at temples).

However, in FUT a linear scar may be left from the donor site.
